VR Roller Coaster for Google Cardboard

The VR Roller Coaster for Google Cardboard by Andrew Sasaki is a fun and exciting introduction to the world of Virtual Reality. The graphics are not out of this world exciting but as a starter for your newest Virtual Reality headset, VR Roller Coaster for Google Cardboard would be a good starting point.

The Rundown

VR Roller Coaster has some twists and turns and gives you the ability to spin around and get the full scope of the world that you have been immersed in.

The scene takes place in a desert setting with cactus and rocks abound, with mountains in the background it makes for a nice ride. There are loops and spirals and some hair pin turns on this ride and in spite of all of that it is still a nice relaxing experience. There is also another set of Virtual Reality roller coaster cars following you and you are never really sure if they are, at some point, going to knock you off the track.

You are the only person in this virtual world giving it a somewhat ominous feeling but seeing as this is an introduction type of app, in my opinion, it is still a fun adventure to start you off in the world of Virtual Reality.

I would recommend this to first-time Virtual Reality users with a headset and an apple device. It is a repetitive loop as it is just a roller coaster and we all know how they go “round and round” always on the same track.

Needless to say, I would easily give this a 7/10 for a new experience with a VR headset or google cardboard type setup, even on a simple setup this should work just fine for the beginners.

This app does contain some advertisements within it, though version 1.3 does say that the developer has taken some away. This app has seen some regular updates which are nice to see as it means that the developer hasn’t just set it up and forgot about it. As long as this developer continues to maintain this app it will turn out well for all future users.
